Telangana Government Keeps An Eye On The Travelers Who Returned From UK

The Telangana Government is on high alert as new cases of the Covid-19 virus are on the rise in Britain. Police officials are keeping surveillance on the travellers coming to the state from the United Kingdom (UK). This was revealed by Telangana Public Health Director Srinivasa Rao. He held a press conference on Tuesday. Seven passengers arrived in Telangana from the UK on Monday. A total of 358 people landed in Telangana directly from the UK in the last week or so. As part of this, they are collecting details of those who came to the state from November 25 to December 21 and reviewing their health as well.

Also, Srinivasa Rao asked those who have come to Telangana from the UK to inform the health department on their own. Those who came from the UK should make it clear that they should to stay in the quarantine for a week carefully before even if the corona came negative. He said the new virus is spreading rapidly in the UK, but that deaths and severe symptoms were minimal.

He said the new virus had already infected some countries, including Saudi Arabia. In Telangana, however, it has been clarified that there is no new virus so far. Srinivasa Rao said all departments have been alerted in the wake of the spread of the virus.

Srinivasa Rao said people still need to take precautions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. He warned that the spread of the virus had been reduced. Arrangements are being made for the distribution of the vaccine. The vaccine is likely to be available in another four to six weeks. We have prepared 10 thousand staff for the distribution of corona vaccine. The government is ready to face any catastrophic situation." said Srinivasa Rao.
