Telangana Government will notify jobs for disabled: Koppula Eshwar

Hyderabad: The State-level function on the occasion of 212th Louis Braille birthday was organised on Monday in the office of the Director, Welfare of Disabled through a webinar. A digital screen was arranged for ease of large gathering of visually impaired. Koppula Eshwar, Minister for Social Welfare, was the chief guest. The minister appreciated the achievements of visually impaired persons in their fields. He assured that the administration will issue notifications for securing government jobs by persons with disabilities.

D Divya Devarajan, Special Secretary to Government, Kethireddy Vasudeva Reddy, the Chairman of Telangana Vikalangula Cooperative Corporation, attended as guests of honor. B Shailaja, Director-Welfare, presided over the function. Dr Divya observed that the visually challenged achievers were exceptions in their fields. She said notifications would be issued by the government for filling up vacancies.

Vasudeva Reddy stated that the corporation would supply aids and appliances to the needy this year. A PwD achiever Shravya Kaniti sang a song and desirred to excel and achieve her goals.

Mahendra Vaishnav, a visually impaired sportsman, expressed his views as an international sportsman in cricket. He advised the visually impaired persons not to lose hope. Paparaju Prakash, a visually impaired person, played a melodious song on his keyboard. Persons with disabilities presented various cultural programmes. G Prabhanjana Rao, GM of the corporation, proposed a vote of thanks.
