Telangana government asked the High Court to look over the conduct of pending SSC exams in the state. In a video conference, the government's counsel Prasad appealed to the court to permit the government to hold the exams considering the future of the students.

He also said that the government would take all the preventive measures during the exams suggested by the doctor. After hearing the argument, the court adjourned the matter to May 19.

On Thursday, the special chief secretary (education) Chitra Ramachandran filed a counter-affidavit assuring the court that the government was taking all the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. She said that the students will be brought to the centres by special buses.

The students and parents will also be allowed to the centre on their own vehicles when they show the hall ticket. She also said that the students who stay in hostels and went back to their homes after the exams were deferred will be brought back with special transportation arrangements.
