Telangana govt declares parts of Karimnagar as 'Red Zone' over coronavirus
After the Indonesian nationals who came to Karimnagar diagnosed with corinavirus, the government had alerted and taking several measures for the containment of the coronavirus. In addition, the native who met them was also diagnosed with corona, which caused panic in the city.
The government has taken a crucial decision on Karimnagar districts. Accordingly, many areas of the district are covered under the Red Zone. The Mukarampura and Kashmir Gadda of district have been declared Red Zones. District Collector Shashanka has issued an order in this regard.
Government has set up barricades around the areas of the city where Indonesian citizens had visited. Moreover, the boundaries of the districts have been completely closed and checkpoints have been set up in six areas along the road from Karimnagar to Jagityala. In the wake of Coronavirus, the chief minister KCR reviewed the situation and directed the officials to implement lockdown rules.
Authorities spotted the Indonesian team moving around in Karimnagar andfound around 500 people. It was decided to put them in the Isolation. Also, in a statement issued by the collector, advised the locals who are infected with corona due to their close contact with Indonesians to come to Karimnagar government hospital and undergo diagnosis.
