Telangana has become a role model for other States: Minister Jagadish Reddy

Halia (Nalgonda ): Minister for Power G Jagadish Reddy stated that Telananga became a role model to the rest of the country with regard to welfare of farmers.

He was addressing as the chief guest at an oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed Agriculture Market Committee of Halia. Yedavelly Neelima, Gundala Ravi Yadav were nominated as chairman and vice chairman of the Market Committee respectively .

Addressing the gathering, he described TRS government as farmers' government. Telangana is the only State which has been spending half of the State budget on the agriculture sector.

Before 2014 , earlier rulers used to praise farmers as a backbone of the country during the election time for votes but true lucky period to framers started with the TRS government since 2014.

Government waived Rs 1 Lakh crop loan of farmers and introduced Rythu Bandhu , Rythu Bheema schemes, free power and established godowns for the welfare of farmers.

He compared the situation of the State before and after formation of Telangana State with facts and figures and added that the TRS government did justice to all parts of telangana State which was never witnessed in the past 55 years in united Andhara Pradesh.

He asserted that the government was committed to provide irrigation water to tailend farmers located on left canal of Nagarjuna Sagar project.

As a part of his tour to Halia, he laid foundation stone for children park , open gym and for the construction of drains and roads , establishment of vegetable market and inaugurated farmers rest house arranged at Halia Agriculture Market .

In these programs, district Incharge Collector V Chandra Shekar , local MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah , MLC Tera Chinnapareddy , market directors Burgu Srinivasulu , Chittyprolu Venkateshwarlu , State TRS leaders vijayender Reddy , Linga Reddy, Koti Reddy , Ramchandra Naik local TRS leaders and supporters participated.
