Telangana has better welfare schemes than Gujarat: Kavitha
Hyderabad: TRS MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha lashed out at Congress and BJP leaders for indulging in false propaganda.
Kavitha stated that people lost faith in Congress and BJP. She mentioned that the two parties have lost deposits in the general elections and the same will repeat in Lok Sabha elections.
In the press meet, Kavitha claimed that as a parliamentarian she had worked hard for the welfare of turmeric farmers in the state. She said that the Congress leaders are provoking the turmeric farmers to file nominations.
"Congress and BJP are trying to win votes by misleading people," said Kavitha. She also stated that BJP today is spreading wrong messages on social media stating that most of the programs taken up by the TRS government are centrally funded. She rubbished their claims and requested people not to believe in their false information.
Kavitha stated that Telangana has better welfare schemes than that of Gujarat. "Today in Gujarat old age pension is Rs. 750 and in Telangana TRS government is giving Rs. 1000 as old age pension," she said.
Highlighting on the works taken up by TRS party in the past five years, Kavitha said, "I have worked to the best of my ability on various issues and at various levels." She also mentioned that Jagityal became a district headquarters only because of the efforts made by CM KCR.
"We have seen a lot of development works which we took up in the past few years. I am contesting from Nizamabad and I request Jagityal and Korutla people to support me in the Lok Sabha elections," she said.
Nizamabad MP Kavitha stated that TRS MPs have always worked for the welfare of people of Telangana. "We will be your servants in Telangana and your soldiers in Delhi," she said. She appealed to the people to vote for TRS in the Lok Sabha elections.
