Telangana High Court directs govt. to provide PPE kits to doctors, police
Telangana High Court on Wednesday asked the government to provide PPE kits, masks and other essential protective items to the doctors and the police. State public health director Srinivas Rao and Gandhi hospital superintendent have appeared before the court as respondents.
The health director told the court that around 79 doctors have been tested positive for coronavirus in the state.
The court also asked the government to disclose ward-wise coronavirus cases in GHMC limits as it is witnessing a huge number of positive cases. Further, the court asked to provide the details of the positive cases to the colony associations.
It also asked the government to conduct a Rapid Antigent test as per ICMR guidelines.
The court also questioned as to why is it impossible to conduct mobile coronavirus tests in the state and also directed to increase the number of coronavirus tests. It also said that staff in private hospitals should work in the shifts. The matter was adjourned to June 29.
