Telangana inter board secretary transferred, senior IAS officer to take charge

Telangana intermediate board secretary A Ashok has been transferred without getting any fresh post. Ashok was replaced by senior IAS officer and former Vikarabad Collector Syed Omar Jaleel. The immediate orders have been passed by the state chief secretary SK Joshi on Friday.

The transfer of Ashok has assumed significance in the backdrop of the intermediate results fiasco, which ensued to the suicide of several students due to failure in exams.

In the view of the schedule preparation of intermediate exams next year, the government is seemed to have taken the decision. However, Syed has not given the posting yet since he is going retire in March next year.

Syed Omar has served as joint collector for Nalgonda, Warangal and Medak. He also worked as secretary of the BC welfare ministery and the secretary of SC, ST commission. He was also suspended by the government in February following the allegations of the opening of EVM and VVPAT machines of Vikarabad assembly constituency.
