Telangana Labour Minister Chamakura Malla Reddy launches Several developmental works in Medchal
Medchal: Telangana Labour Minister Chamakura Malla Reddy, along with District Collector Vasam Venkateshwarlu, participated in various programmes as part of 'Pattana Pragathi' in Medchal municipal limits on Thursday. The minister inaugurated four developmental works with an estimated cost of Rs 80 lakh. The works include renovating vegetable and meat market at an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh, development of park and nursery near railway gate at Rs 20 lakh, cleaning and renovation of ITI college at Rs 25 lakh and CC road works at Raghavendra Colony with Rs 15 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Malla Reddy said that 10-day Pattana Pragathi was designed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to address local issues and maintain cleanliness in urban areas. As part of the programme, every ward would be cleaned and basic amenities such as dumping yards, Vaikunta Dhamams, parks and market yards would be developed in urban areas, he said. He urged officials to provide basic facilities at government schools, Anganwadi centres, urban medical centers. He hoped that Medchal municipality would be transformed into Swachh municipality.
District Collector Vasam Venkateshwarlu, speaking on the occasion, warned that necessary action would be taken against those who encroach government lands. He said that Medchal district stood in top position in several fields and urged officials to continue their efforts to maintain its position.
Additional Collector John Samson, Municipal Chairperson Deepika, Vice Chairman Ramesh, Municipal Commissioner Satyanarayana Reddy, Tahsildar Surender, councillors, people's representatives and others participated in the programme.
