Telangana: Man booked for raping step-daughter in Suryapet
The Suryapet police have registered a case against a man on Wednesday night for allegedly raping his 16-year-old step-daughter.
According to the police, a woman is residing with her two daughters and a son in Suryapet after his husband's death. Two years back, the woman got married to a man who is a daily-wage labourer. On Tuesday, the man raped his step-daughter when her mother went for work. However, he assured not to commit the crime again if she remained tight-lipped over it.
However, the accused tried to rape the girl on Wednesday and posted the matter to her mother when she returned home. Based on the complaint lodged by the woman, the police registered a case under POCSO act.
The accused is yet to be arrested.
