Telangana: Man sets pregnant wife on fire in Nizamabad

In a gruesome incident, a six-month pregnant woman was set on fire by her husband and in-laws on Friday here in Bhodan of Nizamabad district.

The woman, Seethalu who was admitted to a government hospital with serious burn injuries is said to be in a critical state.

Seethalu got married to Prashanth a year ago and was residing at Rakasipet along with in-laws. A month after marriage, Seethalu's in-laws began harassing her and decided to get rid of her.

On Friday, the family doused her with kerosene and set her afire. Later, they went absconding after admitting Seethalu in the hospital. A case was registered by the police.
