Telangana: Man stabbed to death in Suryapet

A 35-year-old man stabbed to death by unidentified assailants here at Suryapet on Monday. He was identified as Kommu Yakaiah.

The assailants attacked the victim with knives at Phanigiri of Tirumalagiri Mandal leaving him dead on the spot. Locals who noticed Yakaiah lying in the pool of blood has alerted the police who rushed to the spot and took up an investigation. The body was sent to a hospital for an autopsy. Further details are awaited.

On Sunday, an auto driver was hacked to death on road at Punjagutta. The police suspected that the old rivalry has led to the incident. The victim, Mir Riyasath Ali was a resident of Nagarjuna Hills in Punjagutta.
