Telangana Mantris, netas stay put in their homes

Hyderabad: Away from their routine, the Union, State Ministers and various party leaders either stayed with their families or at their farms as part of 'Janata Curfew' and at 5 pm, the leaders clapped and expressed solidarity with the medical and other staff working relentlessly to control the epidemic coronavirus.

On the call given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the leaders either played with their children or tried to pass the time in their camp offices or farms.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao stayed at his camp office reviewing the situation in the State. Union Minister for State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy stayed in his home and performed yoga and also gardening.

IT Minister KT Rama Rao, Finance Minister T Harish Rao, Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav, Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, G Jagadish Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, Gangula Kamalakar and others stayed at their homes with their children and watched television and later at 5 pm clapped in solidarity with the medical staff for rendering self-less service.

"It is not good to say nothing will happen. We are seeing how the countries like China and Italy were suffering with the dreaded virus. If we don't want to face such situation, let us be in our houses and save ourselves and the country and end coronavirus," said Harish Rao.

Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy spent his day in his farmland at his native village in Pangal in Wanaparthy district. He called upon the people to follow the instructions by the State and Central governments.

Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy spent time with his father Chandra Reddy and niece Meghna. Transport Minister P Ajay Kumar also stayed at his Minister's quarters along with his family members.

He said that the self-control would help in protecting ourselves from the virus. He called upon the people to report about the foreign returnees to the authorities.

Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy and Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud stayed with their families and took up plantation and also watering in the gardens with their families. Rythu Samanvaya Samithi Chairman Palla Rajeshwar Reddy said, "We thank all doctors, paramedical staff and administration for their yeomen service in containing corona epidemic.

I request all my fellow Telanganites to be very careful about coronavirus. We all must maintain social distancing and follow government guidelines for betterment of ourselves and the society."

BJP Telangana president Bandi Sanjay, Congress leader A Revanth Reddy and other leaders also stayed at their homes with their family members, reading books, watching TV.
