Telangana: Newly appointed HC judges take oath

Seven judges who are newly appointed as the high court of Telangana took oath today. The judges who  assumed charge today include Dr CH Sumalatha, Dr G Radha Rani, M Lakshman, N Tukaramji, A Venkateshwar Reddy and P Madhavi Devi.

Chief Justice of High Court Justice Satish Chandra Sharma administered the oath at the first hall of the court. The event was attended by judges and registrars.

This is the first time in the history of the high court that four women judges are taking oath as judges at a time and also the first elevation of the judges since the state had been formed.
