Telangana police's 'Darpan' helps MP boy to reunite with parents after 10 years
Darpan, the face recognition tool of Telangana police helped a nine-year-old boy from MP to reunite with his parents after 10 years. The boy, Rahul Srivastava is a resident of Jabalpur.
Rahul Srivastava was missing from his home since July 2010. The boy was traced by the Hooghly police at a child welfare centre at Howrah in West Bengal. According to the Swathi Lakra, additional director general of police (women safety), Telangana, the boy was found in mentally challenged state. He was admitted to the centre on October 21, 2010.

After tracing the kid, the police of Kotwali in Jabalpur were alerted who in turn informed the parents of the child. The parents of the boy rushed to the centre and identified their kid. The boy was handed over to their parents on December 12 by the West Bengal police.
