Telangana: Promotions of teachers by January-end

Hyderabad: The State Education Minister, Sabita Indra Reddy along with the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar held a meeting with the officials of higher education on the issues related to the education sector in the State.

The meeting was held following the direction of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

After the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed the officials to prepare an action plan for completion of the promotions of different categories of teaching and non-teaching staff.

Similarly, he also asked to come up with ways on implementation of transfers, mid-day meal, conducting TET examination, reopening of schools and other issues.

He said that once the action plans were prepared the same would be discussed with the chief minister and the education minister would take a final decision on the same, he added.

The chief secretary reiterating the directions of the chief minister said that all the promotions should be completed by the January end following the existing structure in the education departments. Special Chief Secretary Chitra Ramachandran, GAD Principal Secretary Vikas Raj, Board of Intermediate Education Secretary Omar Jalil, Commissioner of Collegiate and Technical Education, Navin Mittal and School Education Commissioner Devasana and other senior officials took part in the meeting.
