Telangana records highest ever 1-day spike in Covid cases

Hyderabad: With 1,213, the Telangana on Thursday recorded highest single day rise in COVID-19 cases, where GHMC area alone touched close to four figure numbers with 998 cases, with total number of positive cases 18,570.

The number of tests conducted were 5,356, while 987 were discharged and 8 succumbed to the virus in 24-hours, taking the total death toll to 275.

Among the fresh cases, GHMC reported 998, RANGAREDDY -48, Medchal- 54, Khammam-18, Warangal (Rural)-10 witnessed cases in double digits.
