Telangana registers highest single-day spike of 199 new Covid cases

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 199 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, which is the highest in a single day till date. Of this, GHMC contributed 122 cases which is its highest so far. Another five deaths were reported taking the total deaths count to 82. The overall Covid-19 cases rose to 2698.

Yadadri which had not seen a single Covid case until now registered its first case in last 24 hours.

Unlike for the last one week, only three migrants tested positive in the last 24 hours.

Four more junior doctors from Osmania Medical College and General Hospital have reportedly tested corona positive. They were from dermatology, general surgery, orthopedics and gyenic departments, sources said. Among districts, Ranga Reddy accounted 40 new cases while Medchal had 10 followed by Khammam with 9 cases.Till date, 212 deportees and 192 migrants have tested positive.
