Telangana sees 3 more deaths, 62 new cases
Hyderabad: Compounding the growing apprehensions and eerie speculations among people as well as administration, Telangana on Friday reported three more deaths due to Covid-19 and 62 new cases.
With this, the death toll due to Covid-19 in the State rose to 48. Among the 62 fresh cases, 42 are from GHMC area and one from Ranga Reddy district.
The remaining 19 are migrants. The number of migrants who tested positive in State crossed 100 mark and now stands at 118. The total positive cases in the State so far rose to 1,761.
On Friday, seven patients were discharged taking the tally to 1,043.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Eatala Rajender spoke over phone with Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and requested him to reduce quarantine period of foreign returnees in Vande Bharat mission to seven days as some of them were found to be suffering from chronic ailments and they expressed desire to stay in home quarantine for the remaining seven days.
