Telangana State giving top priority to education: Nannapuneni
Warangal: Education continues to be the top priority for the Telangana government, Warangal East MLA Nannapuneni Narender said. The MLA, who participated in the Prof Jayashankar Badi Bata programme at Mattewada High School here on Tuesday, said that the TRS government has been according top priority to education ever since it came to power in 2014.
"The entire credit goes to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who came up with out of the box ideas to give a fillip to the education that was neglected in the undivided Andhra Pradesh. Be it introduction of fine rice to the students in the midday meal or other infrastructural facilities in schools, KCR showed a unique model of development,' Narender said.
Imparting education in English medium and through digital classes, the State-run schools are flourishing like never before, he said. In a nutshell, the quality of education provided by the government schools is on par with the corporate institutions, the MLA said.
On the occasion, the MLA performed aksharabhyasam to a few students, besides distributing textbooks and school uniforms. MLC Alugubelli Narsi Reddy was among others present. Later, the legislators planted saplings on the school premises.
