Telangana State Minorities Commission concerned over welfare of Christians

Tharoor: Telangana State Minorities Commission chairman Mohammed Qamaruddin stated that the Commission was very particular about the welfare of Christian community. He said that the Commission provided drinking water, roads, toilet blocks and other amenities.

It also recommended the government to provide financial assistance for Christians going on pilgrimage to Jerusalem. He participated in the week long Methodist Jatra which ended on Sunday. The chairman congratulated the convenors for successful conduct of the programme.

Priests from USA attended the function as special invitation to the programme. The Bishops from the South India Regional Conference also attended the programme. The Telangana State Minorities Commission appreciated Vikarabad Collector, MLA Dr Anand, SP and other officials of the district.
