Telangana State to set up 17 Jan Aushadhi Kendras in State hospitals

Hyderabad: The Health department has given permission to the establishment of Jan Aushadhi Kendras in 17 State hospitals flocked by patients in big numbers.

At present, only NIMS-Panjagutta has one Jan Aushadhi Kendra, where medicines are priced very low and affordable for everyone, especially for the poorer sections.

Already, such prices are established in various parts of twin-cities and across the State.

The main objective of Centre's Jan Aushadhi scheme is to make available low-priced quality medicines for all, more specifically for those, who are suffering from chronic ailments.
