"We are trying to identify the areas with more Covid positive cases as containment zones and ensure there would not be any problem in other areas." Further, the situation will be reviewed in the last week of June to take a decision on lockdown, he added. He clarified that there is a possibility for regular flight operations from July. But, it is not possible to run flights to different states with no quarantine facilities, he clarified to them.

The Minister appreciated the efforts of Singapore where against a total of 38,965 Covid positive cases the total number of deaths have stood at only 25. Kishan Reddy said it is not possible to regulate and control people in a democratic country like India like in China. However, people across the country have been cooperative responding to the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said. He further said that a vast country like India 1.36 lakh people were recovered out of 2.76 lakh Covid positive cases and the mortality rates are also low, he said.

However, unfortunately, the community spread has started in the country and the government has decided to control the cases by the end of June and to move ahead taking care of the country's economy. Referring to the aggressive posture of China on the borders of Ladakh, he said, "that country is trying to divert the attention of international investors trying to leave that country to project India is not safe for investments." The minister also agreed to the proposal of the STA representatives to operate a flight daily from Singapore to India.
