Telugu TDP and Congress leaders switch sides, leaders join BJP
New Delhi: Leaders from opposition parties TDP and Congress have decided to join BJP in order to strengthen the party's reach in the southern states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Among the leaders who have joined are Boda Janardhan served as the Labour Minister and also the state vice president for TDP.
Also from TDP is Chaada Suresh Reddy who served as Member of Parliament from Hanamkonda for several years.
Sashidhar Reddy served as an MLA from Medak during the period of 2004-2009. He also worked as ex-officio member of PCC.
Shaik Rahmatullah served as the State Convenor for Minority cell.
In a press conference, BJP's Muralidhar Rao made the leaders' move official and said the leaders would now be joining BJP in New Delhi to further strengthen the party's reach into Telugu states.
