Textile Park works will be expedited: Errabelli Dayakar Rao
Warangal: It will not take longer than three months to commence the work on proposed Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, the Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said here on Friday. Conducting an on-site review near Sangem, he told the officials to complete land acquisition as early as possible to start works.
"Infrastructural facilities would be created with an outlay of Rs 100 crore in about three months. In all, Rs 1,100 crore have been earmarked for the infrastructure," he said, stating that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is determined tp ensure that textile park is established.
The textile park will change the face of Warangal, triggering a massive industrial growth, the Minister asserted. Once the park is operationalised, the textile park would witness a turnover of no less Rs 7,000 crore, he said. The park which is touted as a one-stop shop for textile industry is expected to generate employment opportunities to nearly one lakh people, he said.
Dayakar Rao said the locals who gave their land would be provided with employment in the textile park. He told the officials to clear all the issues pending in connection with land acquisition within three months.
Parkal MLA Challa Dharma Reddy, Principal Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Jayesh Ranjan and Warangal Rural District Collector M Haritha were among others present. Earlier, the minister launched several developments works worth around Rs 6.7 crore in Sangem mandal.
