Thief arrested in Warangal
Warangal: The CCS police on Friday arrested a thief and seized Rs 34,000 in cash, a smart phone and two ATM cards.
According to CCS Inspector David Raju, the accused Rakala Poornachander, a tailor by profession, of Lingala village under Regonda mandal in Jayashankar-Bhupalpally district is living in Hanamkonda.
The accused who is habituated to alcohol, had decided to resort to thefts after his earnings not sufficient to lead a luxury life. On April 3, he stole a bag kept in a motorcycle near Pegadapally Dabbalu centre.
The police said that the bag contained Rs 28,000 in cash and a cell phone. Further, the accused transferred Rs 14,000 using PayTM app in the victim's phone. Against this backdrop, following a tip-off, the CCS Inspector David Raju and S-I Harikrishna arrested Poornachander near KU Cross roads.
