Thieves strike at Aler mandal, make away with huge booty

Aler (Yadadri-Bhongir): Burglars strike at the early hours of Sunday at Shaigudem, Kollur Tangutur and Sharajipet of Aler mandal in the district and fled away with 15 tolas gold, 45 tolas silver ornaments and around Rs 3 lakh net cash.

According to police, the burglares targeted locked houses in and around Alair municipality limits. B Indira, a resident of Shaipet in Aler said that the burglars fled away with silver plate, silver diya and Rs 2,000 cash from her house.

While Gopu Swaroopa Ravinder Reddy, another victim, said that they have stolen one tola gold chain from her house.In Kollur village, they stole 4 tolas gold and one lakh cash from Muppidi Ram Narsaiah's house.

In Tangutur village, burglars stolen half tola gold and Rs 40, 000 cash from the house of Mudigonda Rajaiah. And in Sharajipet, they got away with 10 tolas gold, 40 tolas silver and Rs 2 lakh cash from the house of A Bakkaiah.

Another resident Pendyala Padmaiah said that they got away with 5 tolas silver and Rs 12, 000 net cash and Rs 30 thousand cash was missing from one Dudala Sataiah's house.
