Three sentenced to life imprisonment in rape of minor girl in Siddipet

The First additional district sessions court in Sangareddy has convicted three persons in a rape case and awarded life imprisonment. Justice B Papireddy who dealt with the case also imposed Rs 5,000 each.

It was on May 15, 2019, when one of the accused also the girl's friend took her on his bike and then called up his two friends. The trio then raped the girl, a native of Jagadevapur in Siddipet for about 12 hours and later dumped her on road. The girl's parents who were in search of her found her unconscious on-road and shifted her to a hospital.

They also lodged a complaint with Jagadevapur police who registered a case and arrested the trio. The police filed a charge-sheet and produced the accused before the court.
