TITA roped in for UN Sustainable goals in Telangana
Hyderabad: Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has been chosen to take part in the United Nation's (UN) Sustainable Development goals by the Assage organization from Telangana. Technology Education and Green Initiative are the two sustainable goals that TITA would be taking care of along with Assage in Telangana as part of UN sustainable development goals.
UN has earmarked 17 sustainable goals for the period of 2015-2030 globally. Assage has been working globally over technology-based education and green initiatives and TITA has been elected to represent Telangana state. TITA has organized a workshop on Monday at Osmania University emphasizing the need for technology literacy.
Former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya attended the event as chief guest. Speakers on this occasion have appreciated the efforts of TITA to promote digital literacy by adopting villages by means of Digithon and participating in Haritha Haaram by organizing events like Greenathon.
Assage and Korean delegates have revealed that TITA was roped in for UN development goals considering the initiatives of TITA in the mentioned sectors. They further said Assage would work for 17 other global goals in coming days.
TITA Global Founder Sundeep Kumar Makthala on this occasion said that it was a matter of pride to be part of UN global development goals. He said that TITA has been doing its programs like digital literacy in villages and programs for government school kids. He said that with the new agreement with Assage organization, youth would be roped in for society development. He appealed the youth to participate in these programs for the development of the society they live in.
Korean delegate Lee, John, Assage representatives Madhu, Ashish, Naresh Kumar, Prashanth, Ramya, Sunitha, Rodham, Mary; TITA vice president Rana Prathap, Spokesperson Venkata Vanam, CSE vice president Radha Kishore, RTA deputy commissioner Lakshmi and others participated in this event.
