Nation needs to know what Telangana gives to GOI, what we get in return: KTR
Hyderabad: Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman made a statement in the Parliament that the GOI has released 85,013 crores to Telangana in the last six years.
Responding to a question posted by Bhuvanagiri Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy over the release of central funds to Telangana, the Finance minister revealed details in Lok Sabha on Monday (February 10th).
In her reply, FM said that Telangana has received Rs 6,511 crore for local bodies, another Rs 3,853 crore for rural development, Rs 1,500 crore for women welfare and Rs 1,289 crore towards disaster management funds.
Over these comments, Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao has reacted and made a Twitter post that People of Telangana and the nation need to know what Telangana "Gives" to GOI in the form of taxes and what we get in return.

He tweeted that, in the last five years Telangana has given Rs 2,72,926 crore to GOI and in return got Rs 1,12,845 from the central government and still, there is a balance of Rs 1,60,072 crore to Telangana.
KTR softly stated that he is not demanding the GOI that they have to return back every paise which are they received from the states but said understand the situation.
