TJUDA sore at pvt medical colleges' move

Hyderabad: Telangana Junior Doctors Association (TJUDA) has raised its voice against the action of private medical colleges seeking bank guarantee from PG first-year students who got admissions recently.

A delegation from T JUDA submitted representations to Health Minister Eatala Rajender, Principal Secretary (Medical and Health) Shanti Kumari and also to Governor's office on Tuesday.

PG (medicine) aspirants, who got admissions in various private medical colleges had reserved their seats by paying the first-year fee.

However, they were taken aback with college administration insisting on showing bank guarantee of fees for the second and third year also. On behalf of them, T JUDA took up the issue and brought it to the notice of the higher-ups.

They stressed that demanding bank guarantee was against High Court orders relating to a case in 2017 when the Court directed that no student is prevented from attending college solely on the ground that he has not furnished a bank guarantee.
