Toddler's kidnapper nabbed in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The North Zone's Task Force sleuths on Friday arrested a toddler kidnapper by name Sakali Raju (30). The accused, a labour from Mahabubnagar, had kidnapped a two-and-a-half-year-old girl child from Secunderabad Railway Station on October 14.
Based on the complaint of child's father D Suresh, Secunderabad railway police registered a case under section 363 IPC after verifying the CCTV footage and took up investigation.
When the Market police received a complaint to Dial 100 that a child crying on the road near Bandimet, they rushed to the spot and rescued the child and later handed over to her father.
The accused abandoned the child on the road at Bandimet and fled from the spot.
On interrogation, the accused confessed that he planned to kidnap the child for begging with her or sell her to needy persons at Tirupati to get huge amount for his lavish life.
The accused was handed over to Secunderabad railway police for further investigation.
