Top cop calls for awareness programmes on wearing helmets in Khammam

Khammam: Khammam Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal has asked the two-wheeler riders to wear helmets without fail to avoid falling prey to accidents. Speaking at a crime review meeting conducted at his office on Friday with the department officials, the Commissioner stated that two-wheeler riders must wear helmets without fail as it would protect them from serious head injuries which have been the cause of deaths in many accidents of late. He said every officer should create awareness about the importance of wearing helmets people.

He further suggested the officials to not to disturb people and impose fines on motorists who visit the hospitals. The Commissioner asked the officials to utilise new technologies and crack the crimes besides carrying out quality investigation and improving night-time vigilance and patrolling in sensitive areas. Later, the Commissioner appreciated the police patrol car driver Jaki Ramulu for rendering best services.
