Tough fight ahead for Narketpally ZPTC

Nalgonda: The Nalgonda revenue division is getting ready for final phase of Parishad elections slated to be held on May 14. While 444 candidates filed their nominations for 131 MPTC seats, 53 candidates are in fray for 11 ZPTC seats in 11 mandals of the division.

The Election Commission has allotted party symbols to the candidates contesting from recognized parties, while, based on Telugu alphabet, as many as 90 different symbols were allotted to candidates fighting independently. Printing of ballot papers has also been commenced.

Meanwhile, the candidates of political parties and independents have increased the pace of their election campaign. Many of them are personally meeting the voters and assuring them of solving their issues.

Further, the elections to Narketpally ZPTC seat is garnering people's interest with the TRS and the Congress parties fielding their ZP Chairman projected candidates from this seat.

While Komatireddy brothers are making all out efforts to see that their party candidate and elder brother Komatireddy Mohan Reddy wins the battle, the former and present MLAs of Nakrekal constituency are striving on behalf of TRS party candidate Banda Narender Reddy to retain the seat.

Meanwhile, the district administration has been making all necessary arrangements for the smooth conducting of final phase of Parishad elections in the district.

In this connection, the officials are going conduct training classes to all Presiding and Assistant Presiding Officers in all mandal headquarters from Wednesday.
