Tourism Minister Srinivas Goud reviews development works of eco-tourism park in Mahbubnagar

Mahbubnagar: Tourism Minister Srinivas Goud while taking stock of development works at Mayuri Park in Mahbubnagar reviewed the already taken up works on Wednesday. Later, he gave directions to the concerned park officials with regard to installation of new equipment and other recreational facilities for the tourists and visitors.

It can be recalled that the State government has proposed to develop this park with more than Rs 300 crore. In the first phase, the government spent a large amount on facilities like rain forest area, waterfalls, viewpoint, butterfly garden, Rasi and Navagraha Nakshatra gardens, night camping facility, currency park, zip line, zip cycling, ball water fountain, adventure tourism and suspension bridges. Apart from these facilities, the State government has also taken up construction of Safari walk, musical fountain, open air theatre and other interesting facilities in the Park.

"The Mayuri Park has been conceptualised to develop lung space in urban areas. We want to make this park more attractive with more facilities for the visitors. In just a span of two years, we could make Mahbubnagar as one of the top tourism destinations and in the coming days, we are taking up many more development projects and would be improving facilities at the temples and other historical places of importance to attract tourists," said Srinvias Goud.
