Towards building police-community relations: Adilabad SP Vishnu S Warrier

Adilabad: Police services are for the welfare of people, stated Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier at a community policing programme organised by Agarwal Samaj Help Trust at Umbri B village under Gudihathnoor mandal in Adilabad district on Friday.

The SP said that community policing programme has been taken up as an initiative to maintain good relations between people and police. He said that it's a great pleasure to visit villages and talk to the village people and the district will be developed when the more agriculture land is being cultivated in the district.

It is every one's responsibility to take care of the forests in the district, he said. The SP said blankets will be distributed to the poor and elderly people in view of the severe cold in the coming days and the distribution of blankets as part of community policing will be carried out extensively in the villages.

He thanked the Agarwal Trust for supporting the event and said that police should take lead in the protection of people and law and order.

Utnoor DSP B David, Ichoda CI Srinivas, SIs K Rohini, G Pulaiah, Bharath Suman, SK Pharid, sarpanch RK Madhu, Tirumal Goud Agarwal Samaj Trust organisers Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, Karonimal Agarwal and other were present.
