TPCC executive committee to meet on June 29 at Sagar
Hyderabad: AICC in-charge of party affairs in the Telangana State R C Khuntia on Monday demanded that the TRS government provide 34 per cent reservations for Backward Castes in the municipal elections.
Addressing the media here, Khuntia said the party State executive committee meeting would be held at Nagarjunasagar on June 29. The party formed a committee under the leadership of TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar to chalk out a strategy for upcoming municipal elections.
He also said the party would hold meetings at mandal level on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of every month.
He said MPTC and ZPTC members meetings would be held in the first week of July to strengthen the party by gathering reports on the ground. He also called upon party workers to strive for strengthening the party.
He made it clear that MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy would continue as TPCC president.
Reacting to the remarks by party MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, Khuntia said the party would take action against him as the party high command would not tolerate anybody who defied the party line.
