Traffic awareness drive conducted

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police on Friday conducted traffic awareness programme in association with the management of Swamy Vivekananda Institute of Technology at SVIT auditorium, Secunderabad.

Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police, has attended the awareness programme and launched "Keep Left" books and pamphlets designed by V.V.S. Reddy, a Road Safety and Traffic Advisor.

Addressing the college students, the Commissioner of Police advised them to use the technology for the right cause and not to waste the time unnecessarily.

He said that present day children are lucky to be exposed to latest technology in the country and asked them to have fire in achieving their goals.

He said that, for achieving any thing in life, discipline is most important either it is traffic discipline or any other form.

Anil Kumar, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Traffic, addressed the gathering and appreciated the skit performed by the SVIT college students on road safety, wearing of helmet, prevention of drunken driving etc.

Addl. CP (Traffic) also appealed to the children to follow traffic discipline duly citing the recent example of accident case, which happened due to over speed and not wearing helmet.

The programme was organized by the Hyderabad Traffic Police in association with the management of SVIT College.
