Traffic curbs in Hyderabad on Sep 12 for Ganesh idol immersion

To ensure smooth traffic flow in the view of Ganesh idol immersion, the city police imposed traffic restrictions from morning till late night on September 12.

Anil Kumar, traffic additional DCP said that tight security has been deployed during the procession to prevent any untoward incidents. "The shobayatra of Balapur Ganesh will cover 18 km and arrangements have been made for the procession," he said adding that they have chosen 17 routes to carry out the procession.

He also said that they have arranged 10 areas for vehicle parking in the city. However, he appealed the public to use public transport.

The public can avoid these routes during the immersion procession...

Traffic from Karbala maidan will not be allowed towards upper tank bund and instead will be diverted towards Kavadiguda cors roads, Gandhi Nagar T junction, DBR Mills, Indira Prak, and Domaluguda.

The traffic towards Panjagutta and Khairathbad will be diverted via Rainigunj, Nalagutta, Sanjeevaiah Prak, Necklace Road and Khairathabad flyover.

At Necklace Rotary, the traffic coming from Khairathabad flyover will not be allowed towards NTR Marg and will instead be diverted towards Necklace road or Mint compound road.

At the Telugu Talli statue junction, the traffic will not be allowed towards NTR Marg and will instead be diverted towards Iqbal Minar at Telugu Talli junction and the traffic towards Secundrabad will take Telugu Talli flyover and move towards Katta Maisamma Temple, DBR Mills and move along Children Park, Sailing Club and Karbala maidan.

At DBR, the traffic coming from Goshala towards upper Tank Bunk will not be allowed to move ahead and will instead be diverted at DBR Mills towards Tank Bund.
