Training classes held on Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana in Asifabad
Asifabad: District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanmanthu said that as part of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) - 2019-20, sectoral branch (Artha Gananka Sakha) will conduct crop cutting experiments and later helps the agriculture department in implementing the scheme.
He addressed a district-level training class with field-level staff at the Collector conference hall in Asifabad on Thursday. The Collector informed that paddy crop has been selected for this Kharif season for cultivation in the district and one village will be called as a unit. Sorghum, maize, red gram, green gram, and soya bean crops have been selected for mandals for this Kharif season.
He instructed mandal officers to identify the areas and to maintain Rythu Bima scheme data regularly. Village insurance scheme has been changed as new Pradhan Mantri Phasal Bheema scheme. Under PMFBY, 20,714 farmers have been registered their names for insurance. He wanted mandal officers and insurance co-ordinators to advise the farmers and to collect data.
CPO Krishnaiah, agricultural officer Bhagyalaxmi, Lead Bank Manager Chenchuramaiah, ASOs, AOs, Insurance co-ordinators and others were present.
