Transport minister Puvvada Ajay apologized in the legislative council for not attending the calls of public representatives and RTC officials. He accepted his mistake for being inattentive.

Speaking in the legislative council, Ajay said that the government is earning Rs 300 crore from the RTC parcel services and assured to launch 100 cargo buses by this month-end. "Earlier, the TSRTC had earned Rs 11 crore and now it is at Rs 12 crore. For the last two months, the government is paying the employees with the profits earned," he said.

The government has released Rs 235 crore to pay salaries of RTC employees during the strike period. The banks also coming forward to accord Rs 600 crore to pay CCS, PF funds, the minister said.

The employees have given job security and the higher officials have been ordered to maintain a friendly relationship with the staff, he added. "A bus stand with all the advanced facilities is being constructed in Khammam and it will be completed by July. The bus stand is being constructed at a cost of Rs 20 crore," Puvvada Ajay said.
