Tribals urge officials to address drinking water issues in their villages
Bhadrachalam: A large number of tribals, who attended the Darbar programme held at Tribal Development Agency Office (ITDA) in Bhadrachalam on Monday, urged the officials concerned to address the drinking water issues in their respective villages.
Most of the tribals were from Charla, Dummagudem and Gundala mandals and stated that they were facing acute shortage of drinking water due to prevailing summer.
The officers, who received their pleas, promised to solve the issue at the earliest. Similarly, tribals from Palvoncha, Yellandhu and Chandragonda applied for pattas for their lands. They also urged the officers to allot double bedroom houses to them.
Special Deputy Collector (SDC) P Venkateswarlu interacted with the tribals during the programme and promised to address their issues. After receiving the applications, the officials sent them to departments concerned for redressal.
The SDC directed the officials to upload the received applications so that complainants can know the status of their application. All the unit officers attended the programme on the day. Similarly. a large number of people also attended the Grievance Day programme held at the district Collectorate on the day.
