Triple Talaq Bill, a part of attacks on Muslim: Asaduddin
Hyderabad: While everyone hailing the passage of Triple Talaq Bill in the political spectrum, AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that the bill should be seen only as a part of many attacks on Muslim identity since 2014.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Owaisi said that Mob violence, police atrocities and mass incarceration won't bog us down. With a firm belief in the Constitution, we've withstood oppression, injustices & denial of rights, he said.
The Triple Talaq bill was passed with 99 votes in favour in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
Owaisi also rejected the government's statement which said that banning of the bill will empower Muslim women and said that it will force the women to stay in an unacceptable marriage.
