TRS bags two seats in Peddapalli municipality

Peddapalli: The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) had won two councillor seats unanimously under Peddapalli Municipality.

Chittireddy Mamatha, who filed nomination on TRS ticket from ward 21, had won the councillor seat unanimously on Monday after the withdrawal of nominations by Mudusu Vijaya Lakshmi, Bandari Pushpa, Sravanthi Thirumal Reddy, Redipaka Malleshwari and Donthireddy Mangamma.

Earlier, the TRS party won one more councillor seat of ward 18 where its candidate Kolipaka Srinivas was announced as the winner after BJP district general secretary Putta Mondaiah and independent candidate Kolipaka Narsaiah had withdrew their nominations.

Peddapalli MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy congratulated Mamatha and Srinivas for winning the municipal elections unanimously.
