Kamalapur(Hanumakonda): Launching a broadside against the TRS and the BJP, TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy urged the people to think before they vote in the ensuing by-poll to the Huzurabad constituency. Addressing a road show at Kamalapur mandal headquarters on Sunday, he said that Eatala Rajender who switched over to the BJP from the ruling TRS failed to make an impact on development front in the constituency.

"During his stint with the TRS, Eatala failed to deliver the promises - such as double bedroom houses, three acres land to dalits, loan waiver etc - his party made to the people. Now, he is with the BJP which made life miserable for the people due to its policies," Reddy said. Due to his failures, Eatala has no locus standi to contest again from Huzurabad, he added.

With more focus on benefitting his family members, KCR ignored the plight of people especially farmers. "Although there are 1.91 lakh vacancies in the State services, KCR made little effort to provide employment to youth," Reddy said, stating that providing employment is important than pensions.

"Providing employment alone is a permanent solution rather than the inadequate assistance through welfare plans," he said.

Thousands of youth who completed degree and PG, were roaming in Hyderabad without employment. They are shy of showing their faces to their families in the villages, he said.

On the other hand, KCR politically employed all his family members. KCR daughter K Kavitha who lost Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat was provided with MLC post within three months, Reddy said. Referring to agriculture, he accused KCR of not providing at least minimum support price. All that KCR focuses on liquor sales which fills the exchequer.

Referring to Balmoor Venkat, Congress candidate for the Huzurabad by-poll, Revanth Reddy appealed to people to bless him. Venkat is well educated and aware of people's issues, he added. Congress' win in Huzurabad by-poll may not throw KCR or Modi from power but it could be a lesson to both Central and State government which relied on anti-people policies, he said. Senior leaders Ponnam Prabhakar, Seethakka, naini Rajender Reddy were among others present.
