TRS, BJP target suburbs of Hyderabad in upcoming elections

Ranga Reddy: Divisions in suburbs of Hyderabad will play a key role in GHMC elections. During previous election, the TRS party won the GHMC Mayor post and now the it has been working towards repeating the history.

In totality, GHMC has 150 divisions among which 66 divisions fall under Hyderabad suburbs in the Ranga Reddy, Medchal, Sangareddy district limits. Off the 66 divisions under the suburbs of Hyderabad, the TRS party had won 61 seats in the previous GHMC elections. While Congress party had won Patancheru and Nacharam divisions, MIM party had won Shastripuram, Suleman Nagar divisions and BJP won RK Puram division, the rest of the divisions were won by the TRS.

25 divisions fall under LB Nagar, Maheswaram, Rajendranagar, Serilingampally constituency of Ranga Reddy district, 36 divisions fall under Kukatpally, Quthbullapur, Serilingampally, Malkajgiri and Uppal constituencies of Medchal district and 3 divisions of Patancheru constituency in Sangareddy district.

TRS has been implementing the road map to regain all divisions which they won in the last elections where there is a plus point for the TRS party as the MLA's of the 61 divisions that come under the suburbs in three districts belong to the TRS.

The BJP is also striving to win the elections in the suburbs of Hyderabad. The party has been planning to give a tough fight to the TRS party in the 66 divisions and win the elections in these areas.
