TRS daydreaming: Congress
Warangal: Congress candidate for Warangal Lok Sabha Dommati Sambaiah has said that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is daydreaming to play a major role in the formation of government at the Centre. Speaking to media persons here on Monday, he said that TRS leadership is trying to hoodwink the people in the name of Federal Front.
"Come what may the Congress is sure to form the government at the Centre. It's difficult to understand what the TRS can do even if it wins 16 seats in Telangana," Sambaiah said, questioning the rationale behind TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao's claims.
Asserting that he would remain with the Congress, Sambaiah appealed to people to give him an opportunity to represent Warangal in the Parliament. "I assure that Warangal would witness all round development as the Congress is going to take over the reins of the country from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)," he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Warangal District Congress Committee president N Rajender Reddy accused the TRS of throttling the voice of the Opposition. The fall of TRS is imminent, he said, referring to the Council elections in which the ruling party faced a debacle. He said that there is a change in the people's mood and it likely to reflect in the Lok Sabha polls.
He dared sitting TRS MP Pasunuri Dayakar to reveal the development that took place in the last five years. Reddy criticised the TRS MPs for their failure in achieving the promises mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Bill.
All India Professionals' Congress district president P Anil Kumar said that TRS has totally failed to tackle the unemployment problem in the State. Further he accused the TRS government of not focusing on development of Warangal. It's time for the people to teach a fitting lesson to TRS, he said.
senior Congress leaders Katla Srinivas Rao and Dr Riaz were among others present.
