TRS downfall started in State: Podem Veeraiah

Kothagudem: Congress leader and Bhadrachalam MLA Podem Veeraiah stated that the downfall of Telangana Rashtra Samithi has started post the results of MLC elections and the pink party will face a similar experience in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing the media in Bhadrachalam on Thursday, Veeraiah stated that Congress would win the Parliament elections and Rahul Gandhi would sworn-in as Prime Minister.

"TRS party and its leadership are cheating people with their honey-coated words. Soon the party will sink like a ship in the State," he said, asking the people to not to believe in rumours of him joining the TRS party.

Stating that he would remain in the Congress till his last breath, he appealed to the people of the consistency to support Congress party Mahabubabad MP candidate P Balaram Naik.

Telugu Desam party district president Koneru Satyanarayana Murthy said the TDP was supporting the Congress and people and leaders of both the parties should work towards the victory of Balaram Naik.

Congress leaders B Ranga Rao, B Srinivas Reddy and T Narasimha Rao, TDP leaders SK Azeem, Kodali Srinivas, Raja and others attended the meeting.
