TRS fields Saidi Reddy again for Huzurnagar bye-poll

Hyderabad: The Telangana Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao have finalized the candidature of S Saidi Reddy for Huzurnagar bye-election.

Saidi Reddy contested in the 2018 Assembly polls from the same segment and lost by a small margin to PCC chief and Congress candidate Uttam Kumar Reddy. After Election Commission announced October 21 as the polling date for Huzurnagar bye-poll, CM held discussions with Minister Jagadish Reddy and other key leaders and decided to field Saidi Reddy again.

Bye-poll to Huzurnagar assembly was necessitated following the resignation of Uttam Kumar Reddy after he won the Parliament election from Nalgonda.
