TRS MP Ranjith Reddy raises pending Railway projects issue in Lok Sabha

Hyderabad: Taking up the issue in Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, Ranjith Reddy said that Tandur in Vikarabad district of Telangana is famous for red gram production and it is also known for blue, green, yellow limestone and cement industries.

Tandur's tur dal is world famous and carries a premium market price. Hence, there is a lot of commercial and industrial activity in Tandur, he stated.

Secondly, the presence of limestone and cement industries and educational institutions in and around Tandur making it a hub for various activities which resulting in people travelling from one place to other and the best mode is train, said Ranjith Reddy.

The TRS MP further said, there were some genuine demands of the people of Tandur. The MP requested Piyush Goyal to construct a ROB at Tandur on Secunderabad-Wadi section, stoppage of Padmavathi and Gareeb Rath express trains at Tandur railway station. Similarly, stoppage of Hussain Sagar, KSR Bangalore, Intercity, Hubli and Link express trains at Nawandgi railway station.

The MP also requested the railway minister to extend Palnadu express train up to Tandur. There is also a need to set up ESI Hospital and medical college in Tandur, he said.
